Terms of service

1. Who we are

Clearcoat Digital is a trading name of Pure Gloss Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company no. 15487280), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. "We" and "us" mean Pure Gloss Ltd. "You" means the business buying our services.

Our services are sold to businesses, not consumers. By buying, you confirm you are acting for your business.

2. What's included

Each package includes what is listed on our pricing page at the time you buy. Anything else, such as extra pages, extra products, copywriting beyond what is listed, or third-party integrations not named in the package, is quoted separately before we start it.

3. Website builds: payment

• Website builds are paid in full at checkout. Payment reserves your build slot.
• If you cancel before we start design work, we refund you in full. Once design work has started, the payment is non-refundable.
• If you don't give us the content we need (text, photos, logins) within 30 days of the kick-off call, we may pause the project. After 90 days without a response we may close it without a refund.

4. Revisions

Website builds include two rounds of revisions on the design before launch. Further changes are charged at £45 per hour, agreed before we do them.

5. Local SEO (monthly subscription)

• Local SEO is billed monthly in advance by card through Stripe, starting on the day you subscribe.
• There is a minimum term of 3 months. SEO takes time to show results, and the first months are when most of the setup work happens.
• After the minimum term, you can cancel at any time by emailing us with 30 days' notice. You can update your card details at any time through the "Manage your plan" link. You won't be charged after the notice period ends.
• If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it. If it is still unpaid after 14 days, we may pause work until it is paid.
• We may change the monthly price with at least 30 days' written notice. You can cancel before the new price applies.

6. PureGloss Partner Site

• The PureGloss Partner Site is our Detailer Site at a £300 discount (£399), sold together with a PureGloss Pro supply subscription: one 3 × 50ml pack of PureGloss Pro 9H ceramic coating delivered every 3 months for £199. PureGloss is also a trading name of Pure Gloss Ltd.
• At checkout you pay £598: the website and your first coating delivery. Your card is then charged £199 every 3 months, and each pack ships within 2 working days of payment.
• The partner term is 12 months, covering 4 quarterly deliveries including the first.
• If the supply subscription is cancelled, or a payment remains unpaid for 14 days, before the 4th delivery, the website discount becomes repayable at £75 for each of the 4 deliveries not taken. We will email you the amount and, 7 days later, charge it to the card you used at checkout unless you have paid it another way. By buying the Partner Site you authorise this charge.
• You can skip one delivery during the term without penalty if you tell us before it's due. The term is then extended by 3 months.
• After the 12-month term, the supply subscription continues until you cancel it by email with 30 days' notice. The website remains yours either way.
• Coating products are covered by the PureGloss returns policy and 12-month product-failure warranty.

7. SEO results

We use established, Google-compliant methods and report honestly on progress. We don't control Google, so we can't guarantee specific rankings, traffic or sales, and nobody who does SEO properly can.

8. Your responsibilities

• Give us accurate information, and content you have the right to use (photos, logos, text).
• Pay for third-party costs in your own name: domain, hosting or Shopify plan, apps, booking software and email.
• Keep your own logins secure and tell us if access needs to change.

9. Who owns what

Once a build is paid in full, you own the website's design, content and domain. Until then, we keep the right to withhold launch. Third-party themes, apps and fonts are licensed to you under their own terms. We may show your site in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

10. Our liability

We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost data, or for problems caused by third-party platforms (Shopify, hosting, booking tools, Google). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Ending the agreement

Either of us can end the agreement if the other seriously breaches these terms and doesn't fix the problem within 14 days of being told. You pay for work done up to that point.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction.
